James K. Dill - President of the Virginia College Fund
Jim is married and has two children. He and his wife reside in Richmond, VA. Jim is a graduate of East Carolina University, serving on their Alumni Council and has an M.A and MBA from Wake Forest University and holds a Nonprofit Certification from Duke University. Prior to joining the Virginia College Fund, he worked for Wells Fargo Bank (formerly Wachovia) where he was a Senior Trust Officer and Vice President for 17 years. In his capacity, he managed large endowments and foundations for the bank in VA, MD, Washington D.C. where he interfaced with many nonprofit organizations.
Locally, Jim is involved with Association of Fund Raising Professionals (AFP- Central Virginia), the Richmond Chamber, Roanoke, Fairfax and Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He is currently on the Board of Directors, Commonwealth Catholic Charities, a state wide provider of social services in Virginia. He has served as Chairman and currently serves as Treasurer. Jim took part in , Lead Virginia, a leadership and social capital building organization for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Jim has been President of the Virginia College Fund since March of 2011. Prior to that he served on the Board of the Directors of the VCF for 7 years. He was Vice Chair and then Chairman in 2008, 2010. Highlights include the stewarding of a large, multi-million dollar trust that will transform the colleges of the VCF (Averett University, Bluefield College, Eastern Mennonite University and Ferrum College) and upcoming 50th anniversary.
